Queensgate Peterborough has announced that Umami World Kitchen, the pan-Asian buffet restaurant, will be joining the centre’s diverse, multicultural food scene.
Umami, operated by Cosmo Restaurant Group, will occupy a 7,000 sq ft space within the scheme’s leisure extension, positioned alongside key anchors Putt & Play and ODEON. The brand blends casual dining with bold global flavours, through an elevated all-you-can-eat buffet experience showcasing over 100 dishes drawn from multiple cuisines, including Chinese, Italian, Indian, and Malaysian.
The concept will include a mix of family-friendly favourites alongside street food, and a teppanyaki station for made-to-order Japanese dishes. Guests can also enjoy exciting Chef’s Specials from Monday to Saturday for continued variety, as well as a traditional Sunday carvery.
Together with an established retail line-up and a growing tenant mix, the addition of Umami further diversifies the curated selection of F&B operators, including Taco Bell, Turtle Bay, and Tap & Tandoor, making for a full day out experience at Queensgate.

The signing of Umami follows the landmark arrival of FRASERS at Queensgate, which opened its flagship store in December 2025. The 60,000 sq ft, two-floor store brings together Sports Direct, USC, Jack Wills, GAME, and a dedicated 5,000 sq ft Flannels store under one roof, setting a new benchmark for retail at Queensgate, and reinforcing its position as the leading retail, F&B, and leisure destination in the region.
