UNIQLO now Open at the Trafford Centre

UNIQLO the Trafford Centre’s biggest new store of the year has opened and is a massive new addition to the shopping mall. Spreading across 1,440 ft of retail space on Peel Avenue.

The Trafford Centre now becomes home to UNIQLO’s second store in Greater Manchester after the city centre original. And it makes Manchester the first city region outside of London to host two UNIQLO stores.

There are TV screens dotted throughout the store showing off popular items in their ranges, while there’s a big unisex changing room with space for 32 shoppers to try on items.

Following on from other big new retail openings at the Trafford Centre the new UNIQLO has a big new payment zone with 14 self-serve kiosks, as well as four manned check out points too.

In this area you’ll also find a big wall of portraits of the brand’s famous ambassadors, including latest the signing, British tennis ace Emma Raducanu.

Alessandro Dudech, Chief Operating Officer of UNIQLO UK, said: “We are delighted to be opening our second Manchester store at Trafford Centre, further strengthening our presence in one of the UK’s most vibrant retail and cultural destinations.

“Since opening our Manchester city-centre store, we have been incredibly encouraged by the response from customers in the region, and this new location will allow us to bring our LifeWear offering to even more people across Greater Manchester.

“The opening represents another important step in our long-term growth across the UK, and we look forward to welcoming both new and existing customers through our doors.”

Simon Layton, Centre Director at Trafford Centre, said: “We’re delighted to welcome globally recognised brand UNIQLO to Trafford Centre. The new store brings the brand’s much-loved LifeWear range to our customers, offering high-quality, practical clothing for everyday life.

“We’re confident the store will be a great success and look forward to seeing shoppers enjoy this exciting new addition to the centre.”

The new UNIQLO becomes the 26th store to open across the UK, as the Japanese lifestyle brand continues to expand its national footprint.

Continuing to look ahead to 2027, UNIQLO will also open new stores in Bath, Brighton, Canary Wharf and Leeds. Bosses say these openings mark an important step in UNIQLO’s long-term expansion strategy, reinforcing its investment in regional cities and continued growth within the UK.
