As the first W Hotels property in the Czech Republic, W Prague fuses majestic architecture with captivating interiors, reviving one of the city’s most iconic landmarks to reflect its rich history and vibrant culture.

W Hotels, part of Marriott Bonvoy’s portfolio of over 30 extraordinary hotel brands, is set to redefine the luxury lifestyle hospitality scene in Prague this autumn.  Ahead of its anticipated opening, W Prague unveils the physical, historical and social inspiration behind the revival of this storied heritage building. Working with internationally acclaimed architects Benoy and award-winning design firm AvroKO’s London studio, with support from the local designer, Chapman Taylor, W Prague will usher in a new era for the luxury lifestyle hospitality brand in Europe. The property blends Prague’s rich past with contemporary touches through a trifecta of detail-driven design, dynamic programming and elevated service culture.

Located on Wenceslas Square, W Prague will open its doors at the former Grand Hotel Evropa, a renowned Art Nouveau-style property that originally pushed boundaries when it opened in 1905. W Prague continues to follow this legacy with its progressive design and innovative spirit, creating a modern, inviting and sophisticated setting for the next generation of luxury travellers. The hotel will offer 161 stylishly appointed guestrooms and suites, including the WOW Bohemia Duplex, the signature W Lounge complete with a Garden and Above Rooftop bar with sweeping cityscape views, all influenced by city’s rich history and culture.

“The opening of W Prague promises travellers an unexpected and engaging hotel experience in the heart of one of Europe’s most cultured and lively cities,” said Helen Leighton, Vice President, Luxury Brands & Communications, EMEA. “The juxtaposition of the hotel’s unique design, deeply rooted in Prague’s rich heritage with the addition of new contemporary concepts, beautifully showcases the brand’s emphasis on creating luxury lifestyle destinations with a playful, yet refined ambiance that provide new perspectives in key global destinations.”
