Watson Marks 185 Years with Heritage Concept Store

Watsons Hong Kong has opened a heritage concept store in Yau Ma Tei as part of its 185th anniversary celebrations, blending its pharmacy heritage with experiential retail and exclusive merchandise.

Located on Nathan Road, the store reinterprets AS Watson’s pharmacy heritage through vintage-inspired interiors, interactive experiences and exclusive anniversary merchandise.

The space includes three themed photo zones inspired by Hong Kong’s pharmacy culture: A vintage medicine cabinet, a retro vanity corner and a bathroom-themed display.

To mark the opening, Watsons has introduced a range of anniversary-exclusive products, including a retro-themed ‘Watjai’ mascot plush collection and a ‘Love Your Organs’ blind box series. The retailer has also partnered with Bioré, Colgate and Darlie to launch retro-inspired packaging across selected products.

Other AS Watson Group retail brands, including ParknShop, Fortress and Watsons Water, are also participating in the anniversary campaign with exclusive merchandise debuting at the heritage concept store.

The range includes lightbox-style magnets inspired by ParknShop’s signage, a retro film camera from Fortress and a vintage-style bottle opener from Watsons Water.

The heritage concept store is part of Watsons’ broader 185th anniversary campaign, reflecting the retailer’s efforts to celebrate its history while incorporating more experiential elements into its physical store network.
