Wynn Resort Remains on Track for 2027 Launch

The development of Wynn Al Marjan, the United Arab Emirates’ first integrated gaming resort remains “perfectly on track” for its Q1 2027 opening, according to RAK Hospitality’s Chief Operating Officer Donald Bremner.

In an interview with Arabian Business on the sidelines of the inaugural Seven Wonders event in Ras Al Khaimah last week, Bremner confirmed there have been “no suggestions of any delays” to the landmark project.

The $3.9 billion Wynn Al Marjan development has already transformed the emirate’s skyline, with construction now reaching over 90 meters, making it the tallest building in Ras Al Khaimah. Work is rapidly progressing beyond the 15th floor as the resort takes shape on its prime beachfront location.

The ambitious project, which marks Wynn Resorts’ first beachfront property, will span 62ha on Al Marjan Island. Plans include 1,542 rooms and suites, complemented by 22 exclusive Villa Estates situated along a newly designed marina. The resort will feature an expansive 3.6ha poolscape with multiple swimming pools, water features, and private cabanas.

In a strategic move demonstrating long-term confidence in the region, Wynn Resorts has recently expanded its footprint, acquiring an additional 70-plus acres of land on Al Marjan Island for future development. Through its joint venture, the company now owns all 155 acres of Island 3, where the resort is located.

Craig Billings, CEO of Wynn Resorts, has called the UAE “the most exciting new market for our industry in decades.”
