Zara Launches Latest Barcelona Flagship

Inditex’s flagship brand, Zara, has opened the doors to its brand new flagship store in Barcelona, Spain.

The brand is strengthening its presence in Barcelona, where it already operates nearly ten company-owned stores, with the opening of a new store on Avenida Diagonal designed by Belgian architect Vincent Van Duysen. The new space reimagines the shopping experience, offering an immersive journey that brings together fashion and architecture.

The flagship’s interior pairs harmonious design with a contemporary aesthetic, unfolding across multiple levels with a fluid layout that unites fashion and lifestyle. The large windows on the façade hint at the atmosphere within, where natural and artificial light combine with natural materials and matt finishes to create a welcoming, sophisticated ambience.

The space is organised into distinct areas akin to rooms in a home, including a central lounge conceived as a living room, with a wall-length bookcase and a large freestanding sofa. The furniture, created by Zara Home in collaboration with Van Duysen, is crafted from materials such as wood, metal and varied textures and is available for purchase. The store’s sensory experience is further enhanced by elements such as museum-style display cases and fitting rooms conceived as expansive dressing areas.

With this opening, the Galician group not only consolidates its position in Barcelona, but also strengthens its presence on one of the city’s main shopping thoroughfares. In addition to this new flagship store, it also operates a boutique dedicated to its home line, Zara Home, located at No. 490 on the avenue, as well as stores of its brands Massimo Dutti, Stradivarius, Bershka, Oysho and Pull&Bear.
