Italian Brand Terranova Expands in Madrid

The Italian clothing chain Terranova is gaining ground in Madrid. The brand has opened a new company-owned store in the Madrid Sur shopping centre, in the Vallecas district, as part of its expansion plan across Spain.

The opening was a joint effort between Young Retail, the brand’s strategic operator in the Spanish market and the brand’s owner, Teddy Group.

The store, which offers the chain’s women’s, men’s, children’s and underwear lines, boasts a total area of 1,300sq m, of which approximately 1,000 are dedicated to sales, making it the brand’s largest store in Spain. The space has been designed according to the new Riviera 2.0 store concept, an experiential format that brings the Rimini Riviera’s aesthetic to the point of sale through the use of natural materials, immersive lighting and technological elements such as interactive LED screens.

With this opening, Terranova now has five stores operated by Young Retail in Spain, following openings in Torrejón de Ardoz, Pinto, Alcorcón and Ávila, in addition to stores in locations such as Salamanca and Zaragoza, which opened in August. The company continues to develop its expansion strategy in the Spanish market, focusing particularly on Madrid and the central region.

Looking ahead to the coming months, Young Retail plans to continue expanding the brand’s presence with new openings as part of its 2026 growth plan. Specifically, it aims to open seven Terranova stores this year, including one in South Madrid, with the goal of strengthening its presence in the capital and expanding into new strategic cities such as Barcelona, Seville and Malaga.
