The world-renowned company has opened a store on the summit of Fansipan, making it the highest Starbucks coffeehouse in Asia.
The store is located 3,063m above sea level within the Sun World Fansipan Legend tourism complex near Sa Pa in northern Vietnam. The opening expands Starbucks’ footprint in destination tourism sites and marks another step in the brand’s market growth.
“This achievement reflects the continued support of our customers and partners. With its breathtaking location and a design that celebrates both local culture and the craft of Starbucks, this store will be a must-visit destination for both travellers from Vietnam and around the world,” said Chi Nguyen, Public Affairs Manager of Starbucks Vietnam.
The design references architectural elements commonly found in Sapa. The exterior features a sage-green facade and incorporates local textiles, while the interior uses wood textures, neutral tones and greenery to reflect the surrounding highland landscape.
A custom sandblasted glass artwork above the bar depicts the contours of Fansipan and Vietnam’s coffee-growing regions. Seating areas are arranged to allow visitors to look out over the surrounding mountains.
To coincide with the opening, Starbucks Vietnam has introduced a limited-time Cloud Macchiato beverage series, available in hot and iced versions across its stores nationwide.
