ThongSmith, the Bangkok-based boat noodle brand, has opened its first international store in Wan Chai, bringing a premium take on Thai street food to Hong Kong.
The chain is known in Thailand for elevating traditional boat noodles with slow-simmered broths and high-quality proteins such as Wagyu beef and Kurobuta pork, positioning itself above typical low-cost vendors.
The Hong Kong menu mirrors the Bangkok format, offering noodles alongside rice dishes, grilled meats and desserts adapted for local tastes.
The opening marks ThongSmith’s first expansion beyond Thailand, reflecting growing interest from Southeast Asian F&B operators entering Hong Kong’s competitive casual dining market. Founded in 2018, the brand now operates more than 20 locations across Bangkok.
