Zoning Approval Granted for Plano Project

The city council of Plano, Texas, has accepted a new vision for what was to rise at a 156-acre site located near the intersection of US and President George Bush Turnpike.

The Dallas-based Rosewood Property Company has been granted zoning approval from the city to reimagine what was to be an office park as a mixed-use project called Heritage Creekside that will feature retail, restaurant, entertainment and residential components.

“After more than a decade of marketing for office development at Heritage Creekside, we’ve taken a fresh look at the market and are evolving the undeveloped land to better meet the needs of today’s residents and businesses,” said Rosewood Senior VP Tim Harris. “By prioritising residential and experiential retail, we’re creating a walkable, cohesive mixed-use design that reflects meeting the demand of the neighbourhood and the overall Dallas-Fort Worth market.”

Heritage Creekside will also include apartments, several hundred single-family homes and town homes and 300,000sq ft of office space. Tenants will include Taco Joint, Pax & Beneficia, Flying Fish, Rodeo Goat, Crossroads Diner and Orangetheory Fitness.

The Ludlow, a 326-apartment home developed by Rosewood and on the property, was completed in 2023. A second multifamily property containing 338 apartment homes is still under construction.
