Amouage Enters India

Oman-founded perfume retailer Amouage has opened its first location in India, with a boutique site in the Mall of Asia, Bangalore.

Founded in 1983, Amouage has 25 boutiques in its global portfolio, following a retail expansion in 2025. It was created by Prince Sayyid Hamad bin Hamoud Al Busaidi at the then-Sultan’s request.

The company described the “petite boutique” format as a direct translation of its home country. “Sandstone textures evoke desert terrain, fluted concrete mirrors the movement of dunes, while polished travertine reflects a geometric discipline inherent to Omani design”, the company said. “The boutique features the Amouage logo in Kannada, the primary language of Bangalore, with a literary history spanning over 1,500 years.”

It marks the fourth petite boutique location in Amouage’s portfolio, following sites in Kuala Lumpur, London and Muscat. Amouage opened the Bangalore site in partnership with the distribution platform, LuxAsia.
