Global footwear brand FitFlop announces the opening of its first store in Spain, marking a key milestone in its European retail expansion strategy.
Located in Puerto Banús, the opening marks the first branded FitFlop retail presence in Spain, delivered in partnership with Albion 1879, a leading player in the management and development of premium brands in the region.
The new 90sq m store introduces the latest global FitFlop retail concept, translating the brands core DNA into a highly focused physical environment. Designed around the signature FitFlop biomechanical technology, the space invites consumers to discover the science lead comfort that underpins every product, brought to life through digital storytelling and considered product presentation. The store experience reflects the brands global vision, creating retail environments where innovation, comfort and contemporary design are experienced first-hand. The concept also serves as a scalable blueprint for future FitFlop openings across Europe.
Puerto Banús was selected for its position as a high-preforming international luxury retail destination, offering consistent year-round footfall and strong alignment with the brands premium positioning. The location provides a curated environment in which to establish the brands retail presence in Spain while strengthening its Southern European footprint.
David Schüttenkopf, Chief Commercial Officer says: “Spain represents a strategic market for FitFlop as we continue to build momentum across Europe. The store opening in Marbella marks our first freestanding FitFlop concept store in Europe – a true milestone for the brand and a powerful step forward in Spain. Albion 1879 has been an outstanding partner and together with El Corte Inglés and other local key strategic retailers, we are accelerating brand visibility and activation across the market. I’m extremely proud of the team – this is just the beginning of our journey across Spain and mainland Europe.”
