New Red Sea Luxury Resort Opens

Red Sea Global opens Miraval The Red Sea wellness resort as occupancy hits 82 per cent and Saudi Eid Al Adha travel demand rises.

Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea tourism destination is expanding its luxury hospitality offering after occupancy reached 82 per cent during the final 10 days of Ramadan, with stronger demand expected during the upcoming Eid Al Adha holiday period.

Red Sea Global (RSG) announced the opening of Miraval The Red Sea on 15 May, marking the wellness brand’s first resort outside the United States. Located on Shura Island, the adults-only, all-inclusive retreat adds 180 rooms, suites and villas to The Red Sea destination’s growing hospitality portfolio.

The expansion comes as Red Sea Global prepares for increased visitor numbers during Eid Al Adha, supported by additional flights and new hospitality experiences across the destination.

John Pagano, Group CEO of Red Sea Global, said: “Welcoming Miraval Resorts and Spas, a globally respected wellness brand, to the destination reflects ongoing confidence in Saudi Arabia’s tourism offering. Demand during Ramadan and forward bookings for Eid Al Adha point to strong momentum for the destination. Whether to celebrate Eid or simply enjoy a luxury getaway, we look forward to welcoming guests from across the Kingdom and around the world to experience our Saudi Hafawah.”
