DKNY Opens First Brick-and-Mortar Space in China

DKNY has opened its first flagship in China, taking a space on Huaihai Middle Road as the fashion label looks to strengthen its presence in the country.

The 245sqm store is located on the ground floor of Lady Huaihai, joining a retail mix that includes brands such as Gentle Monster and Songmont.

Designed to reflect the ‘energy and attitude’ of New York City, the boutique features polished aluminium finishes, wood detailing, and yellow cab-inspired upholstery.

It also carries the brand’s latest ready-to-wear collections alongside footwear, handbags, and accessories.

In addition, the space showcases imagery from DKNY’s Spring 2026 campaign featuring Hailey Bieber.

Jeff Goldfarb, executive VP of G-III Apparel Group, which owns DKNY, said Shanghai was a natural location for the brand’s next stage of growth in China.

“Shanghai is one of the world’s most influential fashion markets and a natural fit for the brand’s confident, versatile style,” Goldfarb said.

“As we continue to expand across China, we look forward to connecting with consumers through elevated retail experiences and collections rooted in the energy of city life.”

DKNY first entered the Chinese market through the online marketplace Tmall in 2017.
