Jagannath Gangaram Pednekar Jewellers has opened a fine jewellery store in Nipani, marking its brick-and-mortar retail debut in Karnataka and bringing its heritage and contemporary inspired collections to a new market.
“Entering Karnataka with our first store in Nipani is a significant milestone for JGP Jewellers,” said JGP Jewellers’ Creative Director Sanika Pednekar in a press release. “We have always believed that jewellery is deeply connected to relationships, celebrations and personal milestones and our aim is to bring that same experience to every market we enter. The response to the Rajeshahi piece within the first week has been particularly encouraging and reinforces our belief that customers in the region appreciate both the craftsmanship and heritage behind our jewellery.”
Following the store launch, the brand reported an especially strong response to its heritage style jewellery collections. For example, a statement necklace from its Rajeshahi collection, which was featured prominently as part of the store-opening communication, was purchased within a week of the opening.
