Here’s a peek at Tim Hortons newest store in Shanghai

Canadian chain Tim Hortons will open their first China restaurant in Shanghai on February 26, bringing their signature sandwiches, desserts, and coffee to the mainland.

Located near People’s Square, the restaurant will be known as Tims Coffee House but the brand identity remains undiluted, with design elements heavily referencing Canada’s maple leaf symbol. You can get your Double Double fix (coffee with two creams and two sugars) from 7am on weekdays and 8am on weekends all the way till 10pm everyday, as well as specialty iced and hot coffee drinks, teas, and coffee beans. Tim Hortons says they directly source their beans from 12,000 farmers in Colombia and Guatemala.

The food menu consists of sandwiches such as Montreal-style smoked beef ciabatta and grilled cheese sandwich, as well as wraps and salads. They also have their popular mini doughnuts called Timbits, with Shanghai getting two special flavors: salted egg yolk and “zang zang,” a type of chocolate bun that literally translates as “dirty dirty.” Other desserts such as pecan pie will also be available.
