Luxury retailer Louis Vuitton has discontinued its Michael Jackson-themed menswear collection from its summer range. The move came in the wake of a television documentary about Jackson’s alleged child sexual abuse.
The Michael Jackson-themed menswear collection was first showcased last January at a time when the brand was not yet aware of the documentary, according to an LV spokesperson. The Michael Jackson items were due to be released to the market in June. ‘I am aware that in light of this documentary, the show has caused emotional reactions,” said Louis Vuitton menswear designer Virgil Abloh. “I strictly condemn any form of child abuse, violence or infringement against any human rights.’
