Designer accessories firm Kate Spade is set to open a flagship store in the city centre next week. The Princes Square boutique opens next Friday, March 29 – and will be only the second in the world to feature the brand’s new design concept, according to bosses.
The shop will feature the brand’s signature tonal shades of pink, rose gold and deep green and mixed materials including marble, velvet and metal. The 1,800 sq ft space will be the first permanent Scottish outlet, with more than 140 located across the US and a further 175 across the globe.
Kate Spade New York Creative Director Nicola Glass said: “We’re incredibly proud to be unveiling our new vision for the Kate Spade New York store experience in Glasgow.
“Our brand and everything we make are a celebration of women—their personal style, confidence and realness. I’ve seen so much opportunity to evolve the brand since I started, and for me this new retail vision is a much more modern expression of our original DNA and personality.
Ultimately, my goal as Creative Director is to create a vision and develop collections that the original customer, the current customer, and, very importantly, a new customer will find extremely covetable. We’re excited to be sharing our vision of optimistic femininity with the Scottish consumer.”
