The expansion introduces 11 new attractions, including eight slides, two jumping platforms and a dedicated lounging pool, bringing the total number of experiences at the waterpark to more than 70.
Abu Dhabi is expanding its leisure offering on Yas Island with a major addition to Yas Waterworld Abu Dhabi, introducing new rides and experiences as part of the next phase of the park’s development.
According to a statement by the Abu Dhabi Media Office, the expansion will enhance the park’s entertainment offering and further strengthen Yas Island’s position as a global tourism and leisure hub.
The development features the UAE’s tallest waterslide, “Matamir’s Drop”, with a plunge exceeding 40m and a slide run of 233m, marking one of the most significant additions to the park’s ride portfolio.
In a statement via X, the Abu Dhabi Media Office said, “The expansion of Yas Waterworld will open to visitors on 4 April 2026. Announced by The Miral group, the expansion will bring the total number of in-park experiences to more than 70, including the UAE’s tallest waterslide, further enhancing entertainment offerings on Yas Island.”
