ALAÏA Opens New Bangkok Boutique

The brand has opened a new store in Bangkok at the Central Embassy, one of the leading luxury shopping centres in the city.

Once again designed by acclaimed Swedish architecture practice Halleröd and similar to the store in Beijing, the retail space comes with a playful façade comprising multiple illuminated perforations.

Inside, polished white marble flooring stretches as far as the eye can see, while on one side, two counters seemingly protrude from below. The side walls are lined with tiered shelving, also crafted from marble and sleek metal clothing rails. Furnishings comprise elegant stools and matching benches, all custom-designed by Philippe Malouin, a British-Canadian designer based in London.

Armchairs by Brazilian designer and architect Sergio Rodrigues bring a more tactile register, featuring solid architectural frames offset by supple cushions. This considered curation of collectible design, echoes Azzedine Alaïa’s vision of integrating exceptional pieces into his environments. The new ALAÏA store stocks a curated selection of apparel, bags, accessories and shoes.
