The hotel now features an all-new French-Mediterranean bistro and bar, new interiors and reimagined rooms and suites in the heart of Manhattan’s SoHo neighbourhood in New York City.
Built around a storied Manhattan courtyard garden and boasting 14 stylish rooms and suites, “Broome” Bar and Bistro will officially open in July 2026, with the hotel rooms and suites following in September 2026.
Centred around one of Manhattan’s most remarkable inner courtyards, Broome has long offered a rare sense of calm in the heart of downtown New York. This next chapter builds on that spirit, transforming the intimate property into a true gathering place for hotel guests, neighbours and the broader SoHo community.
Interiors were envisioned by Sonoé Architecture & Design Studio, who conceived Broome as a sequence of experiences rather than a single design statement. Set within a nearly 200-year-old SoHo building, the renovation unfolds in layers, beginning with the property’s historic red-brick façade and moving gradually from the collective energy of the street toward the intimacy of private retreat.
At its centre sits a hidden courtyard, the social heart of the hotel, linking the lobby, bar, restaurant and guest rooms into a single narrative while each space retains its own distinct mood. Public rooms are richly layered with art, books and collected objects for an atmosphere that feels gathered over time rather than staged, while guest rooms shift register entirely, conceived as the imagined home of a well-travelled New Yorker, favouring warmth, texture and comfort.
At the heart of Broome’s transformation is an entirely new restaurant concept, Broome Restaurant. Opening to the public in July, Broome Restaurant is inspired by the sophistication of New York, the warmth of the Mediterranean and the timeless charm of the French countryside.
