Byredo has opened a flagship store in Hong Kong’s Central district, reinforcing the city’s ongoing luxury retail investment.
Located on Gough Street, the standalone store features a stainless steel facade referencing traditional shopfront gates, set against a largely minimalist interior.
Materials include granite flooring, textured plaster walls and exposed steel, with wood and burgundy finishes used more sparingly. The design prioritises open space and controlled product presentation rather than high-density merchandising.
Fragrance is positioned as the main category, with body care, home and cosmetics arranged across separate fixtures. In addition, there is a built-in sink that allows customers to test products on site, reflecting a continued emphasis on interaction in beauty retail environments.
“More than a store, it is an atmosphere. A distilled expression of material, memory and movement,” the brand said in a statement.
Byredo opened its first flagship store in the market in 2022 on Causeway Bay’s Fashion Walk after entering the market in 2015.
