Cartier to open in Hudson Yards Complex

Cartier is among the many boldface jewelry names to debut a store in the buzzy $25 billion Hudson Yards complex in New York City, which opened to the public on March 15. Designed by architect Bruno Moinard, the 4,669-square-foot boutique is the third in North America to incorporate Cartier’s new design concept (the company recently reopened boutiques in San Francisco and Boston with the new look).

The Hudson Yards unit is Cartier’s new home base in the Big Apple. The company recently closed its four-year-old, temporary store on 59th Street and Fifth Avenue. Naturally, the brand went all out on its splashy new space, which sits within the most expensive private development ever executed in the United States, according to several media sources, including New York magazine.
