The company’s newest health and wellness Club has opened its doors in Shrewsbury, Shropshire, following an £11M transformation project.
The Mayor of Shrewsbury, Cllr Alex Wagner, cut the ribbon at the special launch event, alongside over a hundred Club members, councillors, local business leaders and community partners.
Guests at the David Lloyd Clubs Shrewsbury event saw an exclusive first look around the state-of-the-art health, fitness and wellness facilities for individuals and families alike. Since undergoing a 12-month complete transformation project, the Club now offers a 100+ station gym, indoor swimming pool with kids splash pool, 25m heated outdoor pool, boutique exercise studios to house the David Lloyd Clubs exclusive Signature Class collection, indoor racquets courts plus two brand new outdoor tennis and three outdoor padel courts.
The Club has also unveiled a luxurious Spa Retreat with Himalayan Salt sauna, rainforest experience shower, crystal steam room, ice cave, plunge pool, hydrotherapy pool and rejuvenating outdoor spa garden with relaxation loungers to rest and recharge. Located in the Sundorne area of town, the highly anticipated new Club has generated huge interest from the local community.
Speaking at the event, the Mayor of Shrewsbury, Cllr Alex Wagner, said: “It has been a pleasure to open this exciting new David Lloyd Shrewsbury Club following an incredible transformation over the past 12 months, the Club is unrecognisable. This project represents a major investment in our town and an investment in the health and wellbeing of our Shropshire community too.
