Dubai Speeds up Palm Jebel Ali Construction

Construction is being accelerated at Palm Jebel Ali as Nakheel pushes villa delivery and transport authorities expand rail capacity across the emirate.

Nakheel has awarded contracts worth more than AED3.5bn ($953.03M) to Ginco General Contracting and UNEC for 544 villas across six fronds, with works due to start this quarter and completion targeted for Q4 2028.

Palm Jebel Ali will add about 110km of coastline and is planned to host more than 80 hotels and resorts and about 35,000 families.

Dubai’s transport pipeline gained similar momentum after approval of the AED34bn Gold Line, a 42km underground route with 18 stations scheduled for 9 September 2032.

Palm Jebel Ali is about twice the size of Palm Jumeirah. Project scale shifts the island into infrastructure territory as well as premium housing supply. Site build-out will depend on road capacity, utility sequencing and public transport links reaching the island before resident volumes climb.
