Greggs has posted an 8.3% uplift in like-for-like saless in its company managed shops. The company stated in a trading update that its trading was very strong in Q4, with total sales climbing by 12.4%. Greggs has tributed the sales boost to an increase in overall customer visits and are anticipating that its full year underlying pre-tax profit will be higher than previous expectations. The company operates more than 2,000 retail outlets throughout the United Kingdom.
The retail industry is suffering at the moment, due to a number of different factors, such as Brexit, online competition and the infamous British weather. However the F&B industry is doing very well.
