Ikea has opened the doors to its new Planning Studio in Bromley, the second city centre format to open in London. The Planning Studio – which offers a personalised service dedicated to planning kitchens and bedrooms, as well as featuring a bookable community room – follows on from the opening of Ikea’s first on Tottenham Court Road in October 2018.
It’s located at the former Mothercare and Early Learning Centre site on Bromley High Street and is part of Ikea’s ongoing city centre approach as it responds to the demand of urban living. The Swedish homeware retailer also aims to bring the Ikea brand name closer to an increased number of shoppers within London.
“The opening of IKEA Bromley is another exciting step in our city centre approach and we’re currently exploring other locations in London for similar outlets, to help improve accessibility across the city,” Ikea London city centre market leader Jane Bisset said.
