Jumeirah Group Reveals Burj Al Arab Reopening Date

The world-renowned hotel is scheduled to reopen in October 2027 following an 18-month restoration programme across the Dubai hotel.

Jumeirah temporarily closed its flagship property in April 2026 for restoration. The work covers its interiors, suites, restaurants and leisure spaces while retaining the distinctive design associated with the hotel.

Jumeirah structured the works as a phased conservation programme following more than 25 years of continuous operations. Burj Al Arab opened in 1999 and operates as the flagship hotel within Jumeirah’s portfolio.

Restoration activity also temporarily removes 198 suites from Jumeirah’s Dubai room inventory. Jumeirah’s recent postings confirm that the property has 198 suites across its sail-shaped structure.

Public information specifies October 2027 for reopening without giving an exact day. Reservation availability following completion has also not been detailed in the latest public announcements reviewed for the project.
