A new restaurant focused on live-fire cooking, L’ETO, has opened to the public at The Galleria Al Maryah Island.
L’ETO Restaurant comes to the capital billed as a ‘day-to-night destination’ from Artem Login, the British restaurateur and founder of L’ETO Group and MAD Restaurants. The new standalone concept signals a ‘more immersive chapter for the brand, where cuisine, design and music are authored as one continuous experience’.
Familiar names from the team include L’ETO Caffé and Pastamamma. L’ETO branches can be found across the region including in the UAE in City Walk, Dubai Mall, Mall of the Emirates, Yas Mall, Al Ain as well as in Jeddah, Riyadh and Dammam in Saudi, plus in Oman, Qatar, Kuwait and Jordan.
The sleekly designed space, chic terrace and carefully curated music selection of L’ETO Restaurant showcase this as an elevated outlet.
The menu is full of global influences and is inspired by Mediterranean dining – with the team carefully sourcing meats, seafood and seasonal produce. Highlights include yellowfin tuna with crisp potato rösti and red prawns with stracciatella, yuzu and seabuckthorn, as well as beef ragù zita, spider crab omelette and risotto Milanese. There are also flatbreads and salads including Caesar or Sicilian artichoke.
The team also has its own dry-aging process of selected cuts of meat and whole fish, with star items including Scottish salmon steak, tuna au poivre, asador wagyu carpaccio, lamb skewers, chateaubriand and the dry-aged, bone-in rib-eye côte de boeuf.
The drinks menu is also a focus for the team, with the signature mixed drinks collection using ingredients such as dates from the desert, tea from the mountains and citrus from the coast. There’s also a dedicated zero – per cent menu with carefully created options.
