Tokyo, Japan (20th March 2019) – MUJI today announced the launch of the MUJI HOTEL GINZA, the first of its kind in its native country, Japan, following the opening of the MUJI HOTEL BEIJING and MUJI HOTEL SHENZHEN in 2018. MUJI HOTEL GINZA will open alongside new global flagship store in Tokyo’s Ginza district.
MUJI HOTEL GINZA will reflect the brand’s philosophy of promoting a pleasant life, minimalist aesthetic and good design. The interior will convey an atmosphere typical of MUJI; natural materials, alongside upcycled products with a small number of rooms including traditional Japanese textiles. MUJI HOTEL’s pricing structure remains the same throughout the year, regardless of seasons and holidays.
This is to support MUJI’s commitment to fairness and affordable living as the hotel aims to become a base for visitors to enjoy a deeper immersion in Ginza and Japanese culture. All 79 rooms of MUJI HOTEL GINZA will encapsulate the brands ethos with a restaurant in ode to the many cultures of Japan, a specialist cocktail café and a lower ground diner paying homage to simple food.
