The well-known eatery is growing its presence in the UAE through a dual strategy of new restaurant openings and targeted refurbishments across its existing network.
The move comes as restaurant operators in the UAE face intensifying competition and shifting consumer expectations. Brands are increasingly required to balance expansion into new communities with continuous upgrades to established locations in order to maintain relevance and customer loyalty.
Over the past 23 years, Nando’s has built a strong foothold in the UAE dining sector, growing into one of the country’s most recognisable casual dining brands. The South African casual dining chain is known for its flame-grilled PERi-PERi chicken.
It now operates 24 restaurants nationwide, with its growth closely tied to the UAE’s evolving residential landscape and rising population density.
Following its recent opening at Mall of the Emirates in Dubai, the brand has launched a new restaurant in DAMAC Hills 2, further extending its reach into one of the Emirate’s fast-growing residential communities.
The expansion reflects a broader trend among food and beverage operators targeting emerging neighbourhoods where demand for casual dining options continues to rise alongside new housing developments.
