NEINVER has begun the refurbishment of Las Rozas The Style Outlets, a landmark retail outlet centre to the northwest of Madrid, owned by Neptune, a joint venture between NEINVER and TIAA, Nuveen’s parent company.
The €3M renovation project will update the centre inside and out, transforming it into a more modern and inviting space while remaining true to its trailblazing spirit as Spain’s first outlet centre, established 29 years ago. Stores will remain open throughout the refurbishment, which is expected to be completed by summer.
In the interior, lighter-coloured flooring and wood-finished ceilings will create a warm and welcoming feel. Store frontages will be enhanced with a microcement finish between units, while new lighting will tie everything together in a harmonious space that reflects the quality of the brands on offer.
One of the standout features of the project is the transformation of the central plaza into an urban greenhouse. This space will host a towering tree surrounded by a patchwork of green pockets and hanging planters, further adding to the sense of immersion in nature and creating the ideal setting for visitors to relax and recharge.
The main plaza will be extended to allow for a new entrance and improve the centre’s overall accessibility. It also includes the addition of a new F&B area and co-working space to cater for today’s hybrid lifestyles that combine work, shopping and leisure.
Meanwhile, the outer façade will be given a cleaner, more contemporary look, strengthening the centre’s visual identity and providing the perfect canvas to showcase its brands. Across the site, pavements will be widened, new terraces added and rest areas introduced at the entrance points for enhanced accessibility and visitor comfort.
