London’s newest visitor attraction is set to open at Battersea Power Station on 23May from NEON, a global leader in immersive experiences and exhibitions.
The first-ever purpose-built entertainment and cultural visitor space in Central London is 15m tall with over 3,200sq m of floor space, bringing NEON’s world-renowned immersive experiences to the heart of the city. The building features exceptional sustainability credentials, including 95 per cent recoverable materials, 60 per cent reduction in construction time and a thoughtfully designed sedum living roof – all created with future reusability in mind.
Marking a dynamic addition to London’s cultural landscape, the venue is set to unveil two cutting-edge shows per year, showcasing selected experiences from NEON’s repertoire of acclaimed and award-winning touring IP and original artifact engagements such as Ramses and the Gold of the Pharaohs. NEON is launching with its inaugural exhibition with Jurassic World: The Experience, where visitors will walk amongst pre-historic giants and get up close and personal with countless different species across two floors.
NEON at Battersea Power Station represents a major investment in London’s cultural infrastructure. The project is expected to create 60 local jobs through the Battersea Academy for Skills and Employment and become a hub for high-profile, rotating cultural content. NEON is already in discussions with global IP holders, museums and experiential design partners to program a year-round calendar of innovative, scalable exhibitions.
