Swiss performance sportswear brand On has opened its largest flagship store in China at Shenzhen MixC World, as the company continues to scale its retail presence in one of its fastest-growing markets.
The store, spanning 802sq m across two floors, takes inspiration from the city’s coastal and mountainous geography, combining open interiors with natural materials and installations. The location also features a visual interaction display highlighting the brand’s CloudTec cushioning technology and apparel range.
At the store entrance, two century-old banyan trees anchor a small park area that has been redesigned as a gathering space for community runs and events.
“Shenzhen is a vibrant and youthful city and we hope the flagship store at Shenzhen MixC World will serve not only as a retail space, but also as a hub connecting the city’s running community,” said Rebecca Cai, GM Apac at On.
The store reflects the brand’s push to deepen its direct-to-consumer footprint in China, which has become its second-largest market globally. The opening follows strong regional growth, with On reporting a 96.4 per cent year-on-year increase in Asia-Pacific net sales in 2025.
“Following footwear, apparel has emerged as the second major growth engine. In China, the category shows tremendous potential. We will continue to expand our retail footprint and further enhance the brand experience,” added Britt Olsen, Chief Commercial Officer at On. On entered China in 2018 and has since expanded to more than 30 cities, opening more than 80 stores. The company plans to reach 100 locations by this year.
