Open Sky delays its opening until April 2020

The Madrid Open Sky shopping center, promoted by the Compagnie de Phalsbourg and with an investment to date of 157 million euros, delays its opening until April 2020. The commercial complex will be located in Torrejón de Ardoz and will be the largest in the Community of Madrid, with an area of ​​90,000 square meters, a futuristic design inspired by the city of Dubai. 

75% of its space has already been commercialized and will have 114 stores and 32 restaurants, according to the Cinco Días newspaper published on Wednesday. In addition to the commercial space, the center will bet hard for leisure and will have services such as swimming pools or a karting area.

The opening of Open Sky, although delayed until the spring of 2020, was scheduled for the fall of this year. The shopping center will generate about 1,000 jobs, of which 500 will be occupied by persons registered in Torrejón de Ardoz, following an agreement of the Compagnie de Phalsbourg with the City Council. 

The promoter of Open Sky, also owner of the plot on which the center rises, plans to open next to it an outlet complex, which will have an investment of 70 million euros and whose space will begin to be commercialized in September 2019, by what its opening could be dated in the spring of 2021.
