Paradisus Cancun Reopens

The iconic, all-inclusive luxury resort from Meliá Hotels International, Paradisus Cancun, has officially re-opened following a comprehensive $50M renovation.

The transformation introduces a fully reimagined experience for families and adults alike, while retaining the brand’s signature Destination Inclusive® concept – offering curated, locally inspired experiences both on and off property, seamlessly built into each stay. One of the region’s most recognisable landmarks, the resort occupies a prime beachfront location and draws inspiration from its natural surroundings while enhancing comfort to redefine what it means to stay in paradise.

Drawing on contemporary design and the vibrant spirit of the Yucatán Peninsula, the resort preserves its iconic pyramid architecture while unveiling 773 fully redesigned luxury suites, tailored for today’s traveller. Each space features natural materials, warm tones, handcrafted touches and smart comforts that invite guests to relax, recharge and reconnect. The renovation has also introduced a host of new experiences – from nine new culinary concepts, seven bar venues, a new Aquazone splash park and the all-new Kidsdom kids club, that together redefine group travel.

“Paradisus Cancun is a truly special property for both the company and for our family, as it remains one of the most distinctive resorts in Cancun, originally opened more than 35 years ago by our founder,” said Gabriel Escarrer Jaume, Chairman and CEO of Meliá Hotels International. “The reopening of Paradisus Cancun embodies the essence of our purpose: to elevate luxury experiences in the world’s most coveted destinations, creating unforgettable moments in a setting that blends culture, wellness and sophistication, all delivered with the warm, exceptional hospitality that defines Meliá.”
