Rudy’s Confirms Chester Opening

Rudy’s Pizza Napoletana has confirmed it will be bringing its relaxed dining experience and renowned Neapolitan pizzas to Chester for the first time this summer.

The new pizzeria, located at 38 Bridge Street, will occupy the former Carluccio’s building on Chester’s iconic medieval shopping street, which closed earlier this year. The spacious venue will span two floors, offering over 170 covers across the beautifully restored Tudor-style building and marks its 39th restaurant to date.

Since launching in Manchester’s Ancoats in 2015, Rudy’s has grown into one of the UK’s most loved pizzerias, celebrated for its light, double fermented dough and unwavering dedication to true Neopolitan craft.

Testament to its authenticity, Rudy’s is the largest organisation in the world to be accredited by the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana (AVPN), the international body that protects and promotes traditional Neapolitan pizza making.

In 2025, Rudy’s was also recognised among the World’s 50 Best Pizzerias, ranking 23rd globally. Each pizza, from the classic Margherita to the fiery Calabrese, is made to AVPN standards using traditional techniques and ingredients sourced directly from Italy.
