Simorra Strengthens French Presence

The Catalan fashion brand Simorra continues its international expansion and has opened its second store in France, located in the Printemps Parly 2 shopping centre in Le Chesnay, in the Versailles district.

“Seeing our design vision cross borders and connect with the French public is an incredible motivation for everything that lies ahead. This milestone reflects the great teamwork and marks the beginning of another exciting chapter in our international journey,” said Alicia Mata-Maestroni, Regional Retail Director in France, in a LinkedIn post.

With this opening, the brand strengthens its presence in the French market, where it has already been present since mid-2015 with a retail space on the fourth floor of the Printemps Haussmann women’s department store in the heart of Paris. This opening is also part of its international expansion strategy, which at the end of last year led the company to open two stores in Portugal, expanding its retail network in the country.

Founded in 1978 by designer Javier Simorra, the Barcelona-based brand is currently led by Eva Dimas, following its acquisition by the Dimas family in 2006, while Victoria Mitjans heads the design department with a mid-to-premium offering. In Spain, Simorra has a presence in over 60 cities through its own stores, outlets, franchises and shop-in-shops at El Corte Inglés department stores. Globally, in addition to France and Portugal, the brand operates in Mexico through several points of sale in El Palacio de Hierro department stores.
