Todd Snyder Expands in Boston

The menswear brand has opened a 2,200sq ft store at The Street Chestnut Hill, an open-air shopping district in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts.

It’s the 19th location for the company (and second in the Boston area), which designer Todd Snyder launched in 2011 and sold to American Eagle Outfitters in 2015.

In addition to the Todd Snyder premium collection, the new store features a curated collection of footwear and accessories from iconic brands, along with vintage luxury timepieces and jewellery in collaboration with Foundwell and eyewear from Moscot. It also offers offer private shopping appointments, same-day courier service and houses a tailoring studio.

In designing the location, Snyder, who serves as the company’s president, drew inspiration from visits to London and his favourite hotels, bars and lounges in the city. Highlights include the store’s cash wrap, which is lined in reclaimed vintage Persian rugs from ABC Carpet and Home in New York City. The wrap puts a unique spin on timeless textiles and acts as the space’s focal point.

“Our goal is to create the ultimate menswear destination,” said Snyder. “Since opening our Boston Seaport location over two years ago, we’ve been thrilled and overwhelmed by its success. Over time, we saw that many of our clients were from Chestnut Hill. What better way to serve their lifestyle and needs than by bringing our collection right to their backyard?”
