The sustainability initiative will be launched in Japan.

The RE.UNIQLO initiative will collect Uniqlo clothing that customers no longer need or want and revitalise them, giving them new life and value. Using the recycled clothes, the brand will launch the Uniqlo Recycled Down Jackets which will take rejuvenated down taken from pre-loved jackets.

The news comes as the global brand continues on their path to provide customers with more sustainable clothing with the RE in RE.UNIQLO highlighting the virtues of recycling, reusing and reducing that the brand intends to utilise.

Christophe Lemaire, Artistic Director of the Uniqlo Paris R&D Centre said: “My personal commitments are aligned with the goals of RE.UNIQLO. The Uniqlo U Recycled Down Jacket represents Uniqlo and my own continued dedication to sustainability.”
