Urban Resort Village in Tuscon Names First Tenants

Uptown – a 2.5 million square feet mixed-use remake of Tucson’s Foothills Mall in Arizona – is set to open this month with the debut of The Astrie residential community and has announced its first signed retail and restaurant tenants.

Barnes & Noble, eateries Clio and Memoir and Los Milics Vineyards are scheduled to be open and operating in the spring of 2027 along with a Hilton Tempo hotel.

“Every tenant at Uptown is being selected with long-term intention and a shared commitment to creating something meaningful and lasting for the Tucson community,” said Don Bourn, CEO of Bourn Companies, owner and developer of the project. “We are excited to introduce new experiences to the Tucson market while contributing to the sense of connection we are creating throughout the project.”

Uptown is Bourn Companies’ 2.5 million square foot redevelopment of the former Foothills Mall. The walkable mixed-use project will integrate residences, retail, dining, hospitality-driven concepts, entertainment, office, wellness and public gathering spaces into “a connected environment centred around experience and community,” according to Bourn.
