The exhibit, which is located at Dubai’s Mall of the Emirates, features 120 recreated Banksy pieces which will be available until June 30.
Called ‘The World of Banksy’, the new completely unauthorised exhibition is the largest ever of its kind. Banksy never authorises events of this kind, though he encourages anyone to copy and borrow his art. The exhibit features recreations of some of Banksy’s most iconic pieces including Girl with a Balloon, The Flower Thrower and The Mobile Lovers among many more.
Banksy remains one of the world’s most famous living artists and the most elusive, these factors are some of the biggest draws to recreated exhibits such as this. Many unauthorised exhibitions around the world are eagerly attended and exceptionally popular.
The World of Banksy spans around 1,000sq m and guests are given no set time limit to browse. The exhibition is open daily from noon until to midnight and is located on Level 2 of the mall.
