Philippine Seven Corp (PSC), the operator of 7-Eleven stores in the country, is eyeing an expanded network of 5,000 outlets nationwide by next year.
PSC Chairman Jose Victor P. Paterno said during a media briefing that the company is on track to meet the target, noting that it is “safe to say” the 5,000-store milestone will be reached sometime next year. As of the end of last year, PSC operated 4,130 7-Eleven stores across the Philippines.
The company plans to open between 450 and 500 new locations this year. The rollout will be supported by a PHP5.5bn capital expenditure program, slightly trimmed from the previous PHP6bn allocation.
The expansion is part of PSC’s broader strategy to reach under-served markets and respond to increasing demand for accessible and convenient retail options nationwide.
