This fall, the British heritage brand Barbour – founded in 1894 in South Shields – crosses the Channel to set up in mainland France.
This fall, Barbour is opening three spaces in total in Paris: a permanent space (which opened on Tuesday 19 September) and a pop-up (unveiled at the end of last month) at Galeries Lafayette Haussmann as well as a corner at BHV Marais.
In a 52sq m corner (located on the 2nd floor of the Men’s building of Galeries Lafayette Haussmann), Barbour presents its men’s collection and offers, exclusively, a service dedicated to the repair and maintenance of its iconic oiled cotton jackets, which customers can have re-waxed. This stand, simply named “Re-Wax”, is part of the brand’s “Wax For Life” campaign, which displays a responsible and sustainable ambition.
To discover Barbour’s temporary exhibition space at Galeries Lafayette Haussmann, people had to wait until Friday 30 September. On the program: a retrospective retracing the 40 years of its iconic jacket, the “Beaufort” model, as well as the “Evergreen Icons” campaign celebrating the timeless and functional style of this outdoor jacket. This pop-up (non-commercial) located on the 1st floor of the Homme building will be open for one month, until 29 October.
