Loewe Expands into Italy

As part of its international expansion plan, Loewe has opened the doors of a new store in Cernobbio, a town in the Lombard province of Como.

More specifically, the new store is located at 30 Via Regina, in the heart of the city and its design was conceived by the luxury brand Tessabit. The interior of the store features a series of contemporary details, such as tiles in different shades of green combined with wallpaper, creating a play between light and colour, as well as using materials such as brass, walnut wood and concrete evoking the past in harmony with the local environment and the label’s own DNA.

The brand’s new Italian boutique offers a wide selection of the Loewe range of ready-to-wear for women, bags, shoes, small leather goods, sunglasses and other accessories. Inspired by the brand’s art-centric Casa Loewe concept, the store features a range of designer pieces, including Soji paper lamps created by Isamu Noguchi, handcrafted ceramic vases by British designer John Ward and Utrecht armchairs designed by Thomas Gerrit Rietveld.

Founded in 1846 in Madrid, originally as a leather goods workshop, the luxury brand owned by French giant LVMH is known worldwide for its craftsmanship and original creations. Last March, the duo Proenza Schouler, formed by Jack McCollough and Lázaro Hernández, took over as creative director of Loewe.
