Sarda Makes Retail Debut

The Spanish brand Sarda (formerly known as Andrés Sardá) has chosen Ibiza to open its first single-brand store.

The brand, owned by the Belgian Van de Velde group since 2008, opened a 100sq m store in the Ibiza Gallery shopping complex in Platja d’en Bossa.

“Ibiza isn’t just a destination it’s a state of mind: daring, free and unapologetic. That’s exactly what Sarda represents,” says Nuria Sarda, the brand’s Creative Director. “With this store, we’re not just selling underwear: we’re creating an immersive experience that allows customers to boost their confidence and express themselves in a whole new way,” adds the daughter of the brand’s founder, who passed away in 2019.

In its first stand-alone store, Sarda sells its lingerie and swimwear collections, as well as a piece from its collaboration with the Tomorrowland festival, sold exclusively there. The store is heavily invested in technological and interactive elements: it features a scanner for top garment sizes and dynamic lighting to create festive atmospheres or simulate sunlight.

“We wanted to be in a place that resonated with our brand’s DNA,” adds Nuria Sarda. “Ibiza Gallery is an epicentre of fashion and creativity, making it the perfect home for Sarda’s next chapter,” the executive adds.
