Japan’s leading handmade udon noodle brand, Marugame Udon, has officially entered the Middle East market with the launch of its first UAE outlet in Dubai’s City Centre Deira.
The opening saw queues of over 500 guests throughout the city’s continued appeal for top-tier international F&B brands. Founded in Japan and backed by global food service powerhouse Toridoll Holdings Corporation, Marugame Udon operates more than 1,300 outlets worldwide. Its Dubai launch marks its 11th international market, joining successful branches in the US, UK, Taiwan, Indonesia and Vietnam.
The restaurant brings Marugame’s signature Sanuki-style udon, live cooking stations and immersive open-kitchen format to the UAE. Dishes such as Kake Udon, Teriyaki Chicken Udon and vegetarian Tantan Udon headline the menu, alongside crowd-favourite sides like Ebi Tempura and vegetable fritters.
Located near Dubai International Airport and directly connected to the metro, City Centre Deira was selected for its accessibility to both tourists and residents. The entire kitchen and service team underwent intensive training by Marugame specialists from Japan, with authentic equipment installed to maintain brand consistency.
“As Marugame celebrates its 25th anniversary, we are proud to bring our handmade udon and omotenashi spirit to Dubai,” said Hiroshi Yamaguchi, President of Marugame.
