Primark Marks 10 Years in US

Primark is celebrating its 10-year anniversary of entering the US by continuing to grow its footprint across the country.

The global value fashion retailer, which opened its first US store in Boston in 2015, said it is dedicated to US growth. It has 33 stores across 13 US states, with recent openings including El Paso, Texas; Memphis, Tennessee and Jersey City, New Jersey.

Primark is known for its budget prices, with denim starting at $10 and tee shirts at $4. It also sells licensed products, with collections such as Netflix, Disney and Marvel and sports offerings including NFL and NBA apparel.

The retailer announced it has signed four new leases, including its entry into Minnesota, with a store at Mall of America in Bloomington. The other new leases are for locations at Brandon Exchange in Brandon, Florida; Vineland Premium Outlets in Orlando, Florida and Sugarloaf Mills in Lawrenceville, Georgia.

Primark is on track to open its first-ever Manhattan location in 2026, in Herald Square. The 54,000sq ft flagship will be located across the street from Penn Station. In total, the retailer currently has 18 signed leases.

“Primark came to the US a decade ago very deliberate in our approach, testing and learning to ensure that as we continued to expand our footprint in-market, we were getting it just right for US shoppers,” said Kevin Tulip, President of Primark US. “To say we’re thrilled with the success we’ve seen in the US to-date is an understatement. US shoppers have welcomed Primark with arms wide open and continue to be wowed by the value, quality and style we offer.”
