French luxury fragrance house Diptyque has opened a pop-up store on Hollywood Road in Hong Kong, bringing to life its Holiday 2025 collection theme, ‘A Night of Wax and Gold’.
Spanning 150sq m across two levels, the pop-up features a green facade, inscribed with golden lines from the collection’s story and adorned with the head of Archibald, a mischievous cat illustrated by Vincent Puente.
The interior is inspired by vintage bookshops, with green-painted walls, gold pine cones and glittering trees. A central installation shaped like a pine tree made of oversized books highlights the Sapin (Pine Tree) Candle, the centrepiece of the brand’s festive line. The upper level serves as a creative workshop space, centred around a large wooden table where visitors can participate in festive activities.
Guests are invited to craft seasonal wreaths, learn gift-wrapping and decoration techniques and personalise candles with hand-applied golden embellishments.
The pop-up also features a ‘magic book’ experience. Visitors can select a bookmark and, when sprayed with perfume, hidden illustrations appear and they get to take home surprise gifts.
