Adidas Plans Expansion

The sportswear giant aims to open more than 100 stores in the Kingdom by 2025 and has signed multiple new agreements to facilitate this expansion.

Adidas is currently executing an aggressive expansion plan with new partnerships and retail stores in Saudi Arabia, Bilal Fares, General Manager of EMC revealed in an exclusive interview with Arabian Business.

Recognising the growth in the consumer market in line with Saudi Vision 2030, Fares said, “This growth trajectory reflects our dedication to expanding our presence and enhancing consumer engagement within Saudi Arabia.” He highlights this to be an “exciting time” for the brand.

Adidas aims to open over 100 stores in the Kingdom, pushing what Fares describes as an “aggressive retail strategy” by 2025. The sportswear giant has already opened its first office in Business Gate Riyadh with the aim to have over 400 employees across all retail and backend operations by the end of 2024, of which 85 per cent will be Saudi nationals.

Furthermore, the company has expanded its e-commerce operations in the region from the UAE market to Saudi Arabia with a new warehouse accommodating the “biggest ever range and ensuring faster delivery times”.
